For optimal performance, pre-chill items before placing them in the cooler, ensure the fan is unobstructed, minimize opening and closing of the lid, and make sure the lid is securely closed. The lowest temperature achievable depends on the surrounding temperature. To avoid draining your vehicle's battery, only operate the cooler when the engine is running.
